The 5 Cult Bags for your SS19

Cláudia Diniz

I have been dangling around accessories since I pretty much consider them my go-to in investment, so ever. I don’t quite refer myself to footwear, after all, it is the only thing that keep us from touching the ground, contributing to a hiper fast deterioration of my deposits (that don’t even go to my back account), I do refer to my one and only damnation, handbags.

With Copenhagen Fashion Week already over, the brightest and colorful one just yet, we are now living according to New York Fashion Week’s time frame, now that it has surpassed its “one week” status due to numerous new and establish labels. While I keep working on my Paris (hectic) Fashion Week, I believe it is time to just share with my coveted list of your next go-to handbags, not only in terms of key-colors but also in terms of mandatory designs.

Cult Gaia

Created in 2012 by Jasmin Larian, Cult Gaia designs beautiful heirloom pieces that will live in your closet forever. The peak was accomplished when Gaia’s Ark made of bamboo simply went viral and from influencers, stylists and editors started to included them into every look on social media. I couldn’t resist much longer so I’ve just went for the gold (in this case, emerald) and got myself my beloved Lilleth Mini Acrylic, which simply represents Spring.

Still on Cult’s absolutely breathtaking portfolio, I’ve fallen in love with a piece of art that goes beyond the simply and direct utility of acquiring a handbag. The Pearl handbag can be softly
resting on your arm and you will have the feeling that you are wearing a exquisite piece of jewelry.
The color of the actual handbag is also superb since it has a quite glaciar/polar white, which was only one the most seen colors across Copenhagen streets.

From cult brand Boyy, just about everyone in Denmark was carrying of these. The brand has been playing with personalized items and adds-on so you keep having a newly experience every time you wear one of these statement pieces. BOYY has a wider range of bags, going from satchel, bucket to belt ones, including as well a very new to the scene footwear collection. This PVC tote is perfect for the longer days ahead thanks to its playful translucent side.

STAUD just presented its FW19 collection and I must say that I never wished so much to be able to skip Summer ahead (swear, the new Moon bag is to unreal). In the mean time, and because I can’t really give away my favorite season, I you will leave you with a handbag that is a true datenight “wing-accessory” since it has a very strategic built in mirror on its magnetic snap closure. You can choose from a quite exciting color palette but I find the cream one a very on point option to match with my sun kissed skin. How classy and cute is this Alice Bag?

Respiro Studio by Valet

Valet is making a lot of noise thanks to their sea inspired and lady-like earrings and hair clips. From Man Repeller’s editors and fans to Scandinavian Influencers and even Vogue Portugal online references, Valet has been conquering the aesthetic across Instagram. But have you noticed their matching resin made handbags? They are extraordinarily well made while not neglecting the “it” factor necessary, in this particular case, the green mint hint. Pair it with a denim on denim look or a monochrome outfit.
